Smell, taste and experience Løgstør Harbor when it plays the backdrop for the annual mussel festival. The mussel festival invites you to festivities and cultural days with lots of mussels. Taste and gastronomy, art and music are all to be experienced at the mussel festival.

When the annual mussel festival in Løgstør is held during the summertime, the lovely smell of mussels spreads across the harbor area. Mussels are eaten, music is played and the artists show their works. You will not be leaving this festival with an empty stomach: Friday evening features a local-dishes-competition and an eat-mussels-evening were around 1 ton of mussels are prepared and served free of charge to the crowds.

The rest of the weekend offers Northern Jutland foodstuffs, markets, arts, music and a cozy atmosphere by the harbor.

Eat and be happy

All weekend during the festival you can explore gastronomic adventures and attend different activities. Both Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can try freshly steamed mussels. On Friday evening you can watch as 1 tonne of delicious mussels are being cooked at once. Creativity knows no bounds and so you can find amongst others mussel burgers, mussel patties and mussel tarteletter. Activities for all

The mussel festival is for all family members. Bring the kids when the biologist tells about the fjord and the animal and plant life or take a look at the children paintworkshop in Kulturladen where creativity knows no bounds. King Neptun and street entertainer Tonny Trifolikom are also there to greet you and the Limfjord museum will show you the life inside the Limfjord. The children can also go on a treasure hunt in the big sand box and afterwards try to catch a crab in the fjord. If the weather is on your side, you can also go swimming from the port stairs. Furthermore, there are a lot of craftsmen, artists and food supplier waiting for you.
