What is the blue flag?
Blue flag is an international eco-label awarded to beaches all over the world. To qualify for the flag, the beach has to live up to certain stringent standards, including safety and environmental criteria. If you are looking for child-friendly or handicap accessible beaches, it is a good idea to look out for the blue flags. On Blue Flag beaches you can't bring your car or your dog.
The white flag
The White Flag is the "North Jutland" equivalent to the blue flag. With this flag, you are ensured great water quality and safety. The difference from the blue flag beaches is that on white flag beaches you can bring your dog on a leash. The flag is white with stars which informs the quality. Three stars is the max.
