In North Jutland, you will find plenty of beaches of perfect quality. The blue flag beaches and the white flag beaches are everywhere and guarantee a perfect beach experience for you and your family.

What is the blue flag?

Blue flag is an international eco-label awarded to beaches all over the world. To qualify for the flag, the beach has to live up to certain stringent standards, including safety and environmental criteria. If you are looking for child-friendly or handicap accessible beaches, it is a good idea to look out for the blue flags. On Blue Flag beaches you can't bring your car or your dog.

The white flag

The White Flag is the "North Jutland" equivalent to the blue flag. With this flag, you are ensured great water quality and safety. The difference from the blue flag beaches is that on white flag beaches you can bring your dog on a leash. The flag is white with stars which informs the quality. Three stars is the max.

In North Jutland, you will find 60 beaches with either the blue or white flag, which tells the story of high beach and water quality. Use the map below to discover the many beaches of North Jutland.
