Summer Solstice - Rubjerg Knude

Summer solstice

We mark the longest day of the year, by walking above the enormous sand dunes of Rubjerg Knude. The sun sets at 10.22 p.m. where you can see the sun gleaming and at last slip its grip of the steep cliffs. The local ranger will tell about solstice, twilight og bright nights. A handful of wild herbs will be added into a bottle of home brewed schnapps. The schnapps will later be opened again at winter solstice later this year.

The price includes entrance to the exhibition at the Wreckmaster yard

Meetingpoint: "Strandfogedgården" (wreckmaster's yard), Langelinie 2, Rubjerg, 9480 Løkken (2 km. south from the lighthouse)

Tip! Feel free to bring your own thermos with coffee, tea or hot chocolate
