The European Championships in 2020 have two host nations - namely Norway and Denmark. This means that two pools are played in Denmark and Norway respectively. The middle rounds are played with a pool in Herning and one in Norway. The final event is played in Oslo Spectrum.
In Arena Nord, a pool of four teams is played. The matches will be played on Thursday, December 3, Saturday, December 5, and Monday, December 7, 2020.
The qualification for the European Championships in 2020 starts in September 2019 and ends on May 31, 2020. Then there will be a draw about who will play in Frederikshavn - the draw will take place in the month of June 2020.
However, one thing has been agreed between the host nations Norway and Denmark as well as the European Handball Federation that if Sweden qualifies, then Sweden must play its inaugural pool in Frederikshavn.
Tickets will be on sale from Fall 2020.
